We discovered too late that he was underinsured, on the wrong Medicare plan for his needs, and financially unprepared for the level of care he truly needed. He was survivng on his Social Security alone, which was just barely over Medicaid & Extra Help eligibilty but barely enough to survive on. The burden fell on both of us—not just emotionally, but financially.

Through my father’s health journey and final months, I uncovered programs and affordable insurance solutions that could have saved us thousands, if only we’d known sooner.

That experience changed the course of my life. It’s why I became an independent insurance broker and why I’m so passionate about helping others avoid the same pain and confusion.
